One of the recent studies analyzed the correlation between taking Actos and erectile dysfunction. The goal of the study was to assess the response to sildenafil among men treated with Actos.

Nearly 40 men 46-48 years old took part in a double-blind test, Buy Strattera each with medium to strong problems with erection and with a poor history of reaction to sildenafil. The prescribed course included 30 mg of Actos for half of them or placebo for another half taken each day for two months and a week. After the first month of the treatment, patients were allowed to take sildenafil if needed.

For analysis, the researchers used International Index of Erectile Function and a completed form with Global Assessment Questions. These results were complemented with serum testosterone level test, liver function test, lipid profile, serum dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate and glucose tests.

It turned out that the effect of Actos was very positive compared to placebo. Cholesterol level for the group of men taking Actos reduced considerably. 84 per cent of cases with poor reaction to sildenafil were assesses as presenting at least one of risk factors characteristic for erectile dysfunction. Hypercholesterolemia was found in 34 per cent of men who did not have the diagnosis previously. Levels of testosterone, dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate and glucose were the same for all men indicating good toleration of the experiment.

According to the researchers, Actos improved the reaction to sildenafil in a safe and efficient way. The level of gonadal hormones and glucose did not affect the positive result.
