Cholesterol level for the group of men taking Actos reduced considerably. 84 per cent of cases with poor reaction to sildenafil were assesses as presenting at least one of risk factors characteristic for erectile dysfunction. Hypercholesterolemia was found in 34 per cent of men who did not have the diagnosis previously. Levels of testosterone, dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate and glucose were the same for all men indicating good toleration of the experiment.
According to the researchers, Actos improved the reaction to sildenafil in a safe and efficient way. The level of gonadal hormones and glucose did not affect the positive result.
